Why Facebook Ads are a no brainer for businesses of all sizes

To this day, it still shocks me how few people are using Facebook ads to propel their business into the spotlight. There are so many benefits for advertisers, and it’s relatively easy and cheap to get started. So why haven’t people caught on yet?

I think there’s a variety of different reasons. Some people don’t understand just how powerful Facebook ads can be. While others don’t feel tech savvy enough to tackle it themselves. But it’s time for people to toss away those reservations and take a leap of faith; a pretty easy leap if you ask me; given the minimal costs and all the incredible benefits…

Spend as little as $1 a day

With a minimum ad budget of just $1 a day, it’s possible for any business; and I do mean ANY business; to start advertising. With one of the lowest cost per impressions around, you can literally connect with thousands of people for just $1, which is unheard of with other forms of advertising. Think about it. If you can’t afford to spend $1 day on advertising, then maybe it’s time to take a careful look at your business.

Even though Facebook ads are proven to be an super effective way to advertise, somehow people still haven’t really caught on yet. I was shocked to find out that Facebook still only has 2 million active advertisers.

According to Facebook, there are 1.28 billion active users with over 800 million of those people who are active on a daily basis. Think about how much time you yourself spend scrolling on social media. It’s not surprising that the average person spends 28% of their time on social networks, which is equivalent to 1.72 hours per day. Wow.

Not to mention, these ads are particularly well received because they appear amongst posts from family and friends in your news feed. So the people viewing the ads are far more receptive given the relaxed and social atmosphere they are appearing in.

Advanced Targeting

Facebook has pulled out all the stops to provide us with precise and effective targeting so that we can reach the right person, at the right time, in the right place. This advanced targeting allows advertisers to make the most of their advertising dollars by precisely targeting people based on things like location, interests, behaviour, etc.

You can also create lookalike audiences so you can reach a new group of people that are astonishingly similar to your current client base. Or even people who are similar to your biggest competition’s facebook fans.

Ability to test, measure and tweak

Facebook insights provide some pretty robust analytics that make it easy for you to test your ads and gain insights into what works and what doesn’t. Test different Ad creatives, captions and targeting parameters to improve the ROI of your ads.

The ability to switch up ads also allows you to avoid the much dreaded ad fatigue that can happen when your ads are seen too many times by the same person.

Edge out your competition

Even though Facebook ads are proven to be an super effective way to advertise, somehow people still haven’t really caught on yet.
