The Importance of Branding Across Social Media

In the last little while, we’ve started to see a common thread with many of our client’s social media presence.  So we thought we’d share it with you on this week’s blog.  With the amount of web savvy competitors out there today it’s easier then ever to get overlooked.  But what’s even worse is for people to make that initial contact with your brand, and then forget about you because you weren’t memorable.  Many of our clients at Iconica have developed great branding, but they sometimes fall short in leveraging their brand potential over social media.

It takes a level of care and attention to detail when tending to your social media accounts and attempting to grow an online presence. Like a garden, without a level of love and care it simply won’t grow.

It takes a level of care and attention to detail when tending to your social media accounts and attempting to grow an online presence.  Like a garden, without a level of love and care it simply won’t grow.  This is especially true when building brand recognition across multiple networks.  The key is to keep your branding consistent across the various platforms.  This will help people easily identify your brand and help build cross platform loyalty.
This means having consistent profile pictures and banners that are visually appealing.  Always ensure that these visuals fit nicely within the dimension parameters for each network.  Also, best practices are generally to have your company logo as your profile picture and then create an exciting banner that gets people’s attention and sends a message.  Getting creative and thinking outside of the box can really help you stand out from your competition and get noticed.  If you don’t know where to start, try googleing ideas for inspiration, and we can discuss some exciting ideas unique to your brand.
